Anti-Ragging

 

 

As per the directive of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, New Delhi, Anti- ragging Committee at Institute level is hereby constituted for prevention of the ragging and also to ensure the implementation of anti – ragging measures in the college campus.

The anti – ragging policy adopted by the institute:

  • Creating ragging free atmosphere in and outside the campus.
  • Creating awareness among students regarding acts and punishments pertaining to ragging activities.
  • Creating cordial relations among students for fulfilling organizations mission and objectives.
  • Creating awareness among students regarding how the self confidence of the individual influences the national interest

Punishment rules and regulations:-

  • Cancellation of admission
  • Suspension from attending classes
  • Withholding / withdrawing scholarship/ fellowship and other benefits
  • Debarring from appearing in any test/ examination or other evaluation process.
  • Withholding results
  • Debarring from representing the institution in any regional, national or International meet, tournament, youth festival, etc.
  • Suspension/ expulsion from the hostel.
  • Rustication from the institution for period ranging from 1 to 4 semesters.
  • Expulsion from institution and consequent debarring from admission to any other institution.
  • Collective punishment: when the persons committing or abetting the crime of ragging are not identified, the institution shall resort to collective punishment as a  deterrent to ensure community pressure on the potential raggers.
  • Lodging of FIR with local policy leading to arrest.
