GENDER SENSITIZATION CELL
A gender sensitization cell was established on campus in 2019. To eliminate gender bias and insensitivity, it has been instructed to promote gender equality through seminars, poster displays, and exhibitions.
The cell has also been mainly entrusted with taking up cases of harassment and atrocities against female teachers, employees, and students, investigating and taking appropriate action against the perpetrators.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To scrutinize all grievance letters received from female staff/students concerning sexual harassment.
- To examine and investigate each complaint received from female staff/students by collecting the required information from connected people.
- To provide feedback to the women staff/students concerned and find solutions to their grievances.
- Grievances received from female staff/students will be recorded in a separate register maintained exclusively for this purpose by the committee. The committee’s response to the grievances of women staff/students should also be recorded in the register.
- The committee should find suitable solutions to settle the problems faced by the women staff/students in regard to matters relating to sexual harassment within 10 days after a thorough investigation.
